Community Income Tax of Irving, LLC — Tax Preparers You Can Trust.

ITIN Acceptance Agent

An individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) is a tax processing number, issued by the Internal Revenue Service, for resident and nonresident aliens, their spouses and their dependents, if they are not eligible for a Social Security number.

We are authorized by the IRS to assist individuals and other foreign persons who do not qualify for a Social Security Number but who still need a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to process a Form 1040 and other tax schedules.

What's the estimated approval time?

You will receive a letter from the IRS assigning your tax identification number usually within seven weeks (up to 11 weeks if requested during peak tax time [January 15 through April 30] or from abroad).

What happens when the ITIN application is approved?

After the ITIN application has been approved, the IRS will process the tax return within 6 to 8 weeks.

Why would an ITIN be denied?

The applicant did not complete the Form W7 ITIN application correctly or the Form W7 application is incomplete with half the information only.

How long is ITIN valid for?

If you use an ITIN, it will expire unless you used it at least once during the previous three-year period.
